Our Leadership

Brian Simmons is a dedicated Career and Technical Education teacher at West Nassau High School and currently serves as Treasurer of the Nassau Teachers' Association (NTA). He has been a member of NTA since the beginning of his education career in 2006. Brian stepped into the treasurer role in 2022 bringing with him over two decades of experience from the Nassau County School District.

Throughout his career, Brian has worn many hats—working as a substitute teacher, paraprofessional, occasional bus driver, and full-time educator. His commitment to education extends beyond the classroom: he serves on the NTA’s differentiated and supplemental pay committee, the insurance committee bargaining team, and serves on the executive board.

Outside of his school responsibilities, Brian runs a computer repair business, holds the position of Vice President of the Northeast Florida Fair, and contributes to shaping future leaders as a member of the Future Business Leaders of America state board of directors.

When he's not working or volunteering, Brian enjoys traveling and spending time with his family.
